SHEER GLYDE dams are a 25 cm x 15 cm (10 inch x 6 inch) thin, silky latex sheet specially designed as a barrier for use during oral sex (cunnilingus - vaginal oral sex or rimming - oral/anal sex) .

Most men and women do not understand the risk they may be exposed to when they have unprotected oral sex.

During oral sex, unless a barrier product is used, many infections can be transmitted, including genital herpes, chlamydia, syphilis, gonorrhea and HIV/AIDS. SHEER GLYDE dams, when used correctly, help reduce the risk of sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

SHEER GLYDE DAM was developed in response to the need for a safe oral sex barrier product and is the registered and trademarked property of GLYDE Health Pty Ltd. It is also the only FDA and European (CE) approved barrier product for protection against STDs during oral sex. Additionally, SHEER Dam is a Standards Australia product, the official authorizing agent of the Australian Federal Government. The dental dam was never intended, nor has it been tested, nor has it been proven to be effective in preventing the transmission of STIs.
